On September 25, the AUCA Makerspace CH hosted another session of the ICP Ambassador Talks series, featuring H.E. Nicholas Bowler, the British Ambassador to the Kyrgyz Republic.   Ambassador Bowler delivered an engaging lecture on the concept of soft power and its continuing importance in international relations.

The American University of Central Asia (AUCA) hosted H.E. Mr. Nicolas Faye, the Ambassador of France, for a lecture titled "French Foreign Policy in Central Asia." The event, opened by the President of AUCA, highlighted the growing ties between Europe and Central Asia, with France positioning itself as a key partner.

Dr. Mirko Tasic, an Associate Professor in AUCA’s International and Comparative Politics Department, recently completed an Open Society University Network (OSUN) Faculty Mobility Fellowship at the Central European University’s Democracy Institute in Budapest, Hungary.

The AUCA Club Fair is one of the most anticipated events that marks the start of every academic year. It brings together the diverse and vibrant student community, showcasing the wide range of extracurricular opportunities available on campus.

The AUCA community extends its deepest condolences to the member of the University Board of Trustees, Ms. Nazira Beishenalievа, on the passing of her mother, Ms. Sina Beishenalievа.

The AUCA Academic Advising Center recently organized Family Advising Day, a special event dedicated to welcoming the parents of our freshmen students and introducing them to the academic and student support resources available at AUCA.

From July 7-16, 3 NGA alumni, Nurbolot Piridinov (NGA2022), Erkebai Bakhavadinov (NGA 2021) and Bek-Aiym Talantbek kyzy (NGA 2022) participated in the 9-day international summer school "Get Engaged:Student as a Citizen", hosted at Central European University (CEU) in Budapest, which brought together students and young leaders from across the globe.

 

On 18-22 August, the AUCA librarians Jyldyz Bekbalaeva, Tolgonai Kozhokanova, and Madina Kerimova attended the 89th IFLA World Library and Information Congress (WLIC) 2025 in Astana.  The World Library and Information Congress (WLIC), organized annually by the International Federation of Library Associations and Institutions (IFLA), is a premier international conference dedicated to advancing the profession’s commitment to providing high-quality library and information services and ensuring equitable access to information.
